Outremont Collection

The Outremont Collection chronicles my interactions with plants encountered on daily walks in the neighbourhood. When a particular specimen caught my attention, I monitored its growth.  Just before the end of the growing season, I selected senescent material for my works.

Back in the studio, I painted, sanded, dissected, beaded and embellished the various materials; they were then digitally manipulated and printed, in an effort to bring the plant back to life. In some cases, I hand-cut the printed images and created three-dimensional paper sculptures.
