sWEETGRASS bRAID
This digital collage was created from photographs of individual porcupine quills assembled in the form of a sweetgrass braid.
Sweetgrass is one of our Four Sacred Medicines. The three-strand braid represents the interconnectedness of body, mind and spirit. My great-grandmother, Éléanore, used sweetgrass in her midwifery practice.
